Catholic Charities of Boston

On Wednesday, July 2nd, we made our first food delivery to the St. Ambrose Shelter of the Catholic Charities of Boston. We delivered canned nonperishable goods, whole wheat pasta, brown rice, and pasta sauce. Knowing that our donation will make a difference to families was heartwarming. We and other volunteers are often the glue that holds our communities together. We have learned invaluable life skills from volunteering. This work has provided my brother and me with a vision and motivation that will carry over in our personal and professional lives. Volunteering is providing us with a sense of compassion, open-mindedness, and willingness to do what is needed with a positive attitude. We look forward to continuing to deliver food bi-weekly to the St. Ambrose housing community. We will work alongside the Catholic Charities of Boston to help build a safety net for underprivileged children and families.
